How AUEC handles player data.
AUEC collects only the information needed to register competitors, verify eligibility and identity, operate tournaments, resolve disputes and maintain competition integrity.
Information we collect
Registration information can include your display name, university, institutional email address, student identifier, consent record and eligibility review outcome. If you connect external accounts, AUEC stores the minimum Discord and Epic identity information required to link those accounts. Fortnite verification and competition operations can also create check-in, team, match-result and audit records.
Why we use it
We use this information to administer AUEC events, confirm that entrants meet the published eligibility rules, keep player accounts separate, form and approve rosters, run check-in and scoring, investigate disputes and provide player support.
External services
AUEC can use Railway for application/database hosting, Discord and Epic Games for account identity, Yunite for supported Fortnite tournament operations and an email delivery provider when automated institutional-email verification is enabled. Provider tokens are handled server-side and are not intentionally exposed to the browser.
University eligibility
An approved email domain does not by itself prove current enrolment. Institutional email ownership, university eligibility, Discord identity and Fortnite/Epic identity are treated as separate checks. Organisers may request additional current-enrolment evidence where the event rules permit it.
Retention and account control
You can sign out, disconnect eligible provider identities before roster lock, update eligible profile information, withdraw an unapproved registration and request support from the account interface. AUEC may retain records needed for event administration, scoring integrity, audit history, dispute resolution or legal obligations after a withdrawal request.
Your choices
You can request access, correction or deletion review through the AUEC support form. Some competition records may need to be preserved where deleting them would compromise a locked roster, official result, investigation or audit record.

This event is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by Epic Games, Inc. Information supplied to AUEC in connection with the event is supplied to the event organiser and not to Epic Games, Inc., except where a player directly uses Epic account services.
